KM27
The Jacques-Cartier River is the westernmost river of the St. Lawrence that is home to Atlantic salmon and where each summer they are going in their meanders to spawn. Its turbid water is not suitable for diving since there is almost no visibility, but the outside landscapes are fabulous! When the fall colors arrive, these pine and white birch forests offer a typical Canadian show not found elsewhere. It's at kilometre 27 in Jacques-Cartier Park that we come across this island that has always fascinated me. On a 2-metre long and 40cm thick rock, roots and vegetation have conquered and settled in the long term.
