Où sommes-nous ?
The Morrison's Quarry near Gatineau is one of my favorite winter playgrounds.Only from 2 and half hour drive, it's perfect for cooling off and keeping me busy when I'm not out on expeditions. I always find new things to photograph, new lights to test, ice thickness, fish, etc.
Here, I enjoy the view with a bit of introspection: sometimes reality does not seems as it pretends to be, sometimes just got to take a step back and look at the big picture. It's a long-term view, think for a minute looking at 20 or 30 years of this landscape through the window condensed into 4 minutes! It would immediately go on and on with the seasons, the formation of ice, the melting, the growth of algae in the spring, then their disappearance in the fall. The ballet of the fish, the hatching of the eggs, etc...
The cold catches up with my thoughts after 2 minutes of immobility, I get back to my work of taking photo trying to warm up in this 1°C water...
