"Le Chaouen" shipwreck is 90 meters long and remains still between 10 and 33 meters on the rocks of the Phare du Planier, a lighthouse that can be seen shining off the coast of Marseille. This transport ship, built in 1961, went ashore on February 21st 1970 with 640 tons of oranges on board. This photograph, taken at a depth of 23 metres, shows the large chimneys and the roof of its control station. The ship having sunk on the flank, this give the impression to the foreign divers that it has a very large cannon.
